Hello Friends! I wish the week unfolds well for you all!! I started off well!!!
As promised, this post is the continuation of :: 5 Golden Rules For Skin Care ::
In my opinion, "Habits start off as hopes and become character." Lets make some skin friendly habits to make sure we keep it healthy, young and glowing as long as possible.
Habit 1 - Vitamins C & E: Eat a lot of C, and E vitamins. They are extremely critical to keep the skin healthy. It's necessary that you ensure them in your staple diet. Mango, papaya, pineapple, melon, dark green leafy vegetable, cauliflower, potatoes, tomatoes and all citrus fruits are adequate enough for Vitamin C. If you have noticed vitamin E is often part of skin creams as it claims to keep away skin from ageing (fountain of youth!). Cereals, spinach, asparagus, oils like palm, sunflower, olive, wheat and soybeans are good sources of Vitamin E.
Habit 2 - Drink Lots Of Water: Drinking water sounds easy but it's not. It's a conscious and regular effort. And, the results will not shout when you wake-up. It takes at least a week or two. Start-off slowly. Improve the quantity than you normally drink and continue it. Minimum of 3 - 4 litres of water is advised. Drinking water reportedly clears your skin to glow healthy and detoxifies your body. Water can moisturize the skin, nurtures cellular water and tissues, and strengthens skin elasticity.
Habit 3 - Sleep Well & Take No Stress: I am sure, you agree if I said, "This is a million dollar achievement." Dark circles, fine lines, in extreme cases rashes and eczema, and lackluster complexions - are all results of lack of sound sleep. Deep or Delta Sleep promotes hormone growth and triggers tissue and cell repair. Restless and disturbed sleep is no good to skin. Insomnia (lack of sleep) results in stress (both physical and mental) which is quite visible on face. What could be the reason? When you don't sleep enough the stress hormone cortisol is produced in excess which breaks down collagen protein which is responsible for keeping the skin smooth and elastic. Minimum 6 hours of sleep is mandatory to keep the biggest organ of your body healthy and young.
All said, the above habits are no theory but simple facts. You can realize it yourself once you start hoping to practice them to make it a "Skin Friendly Habit." "Your Skin Is Your Responsibility" - is what I would say before I finished. Practice! Practice!! Practice!!!
