:: How to Over Come Weaknesses ::

Hello Friends!  I hope your week is going cool!!  My week is over-pouring and should settle by this week-end!!!

It takes a great deal to over come any sort of weakness of any magnitude - is a common understanding.  Well, I don't deny that, but it is and can also be a simple deal if the nature of the weakness is correctly understood.  You must agree that, we all fail to do the understanding bit and get to action, which makes no sense.  Let me put some efforts on "How To Over Come Weaknesses" in this post, which will be slightly big - be prepared!!!

What is a weakness:  The state of being weak is often and naturally understood as "Don't Possess" quality.  Say a big "NO" to it - only then you can understand what weakness is all about and decide whether to keep it or lose it.  One man's meat is another man's poison - this saying can be conveniently applied to weakness.  A particular strength can be weakness and vice versa.  Per se, I cannot sleep without reading is a weakness by definition but the outcome is positive.  Hence, I would like to keep it rather loosing it.  Therefore, I can say that, weakness is a particular quality, habit or an idiosyncrasy you are psychologically bound to demonstrate.  If the outcome is yielding, fine it is your strength otherwise a weakness.  From now on, don't go by the face of a weakness or what others call it weakness of you but by the outcome of it.  Be clear on what to overcome.

Be Bold To Accept:  Now that you know how to recognize a weakness(if you feel you have one, am sure everyone does), accept it.  Only acceptance helps you to own it and overcome it.  You will start with your "Achilles' Heel" - oops!!!  That's a big mistake you are committing and probably you can never take a step forward if you start with your big boy first.  It's quite discouraging and feels beyond stamina to overcome it.
It may vary from person to person.  But, this is the case generally.  If you feel so, leave your big weakness(big boy) and go with the smallest one or something associated with the bigger one which will help reduce its intensity and thereby, to conquer it over a period of time.  Once you know what to over come, half the job is done.  Once again, define weakness by its outcome but not by said conventions.

How To Execute:  Be sure, if you have accepted your weak area 100% or not.  If you haven't, do so before you could execute it.  Owning it is the first hurdle towards working on it.  Accepting it as "An Area OF Improvement" is a positive approach.  The process of execution can be two folded: self-introspection and seeking an advise and support from a confidant at every level.  Be very practical about setting a time frame for regular heat check and on over all duration to either move out of it or turn the weakness a strength.

  • Stop procrastination on following the plan of action is the first step.
  • You can maintain a simple hand book on the progress and on how are you feeling about your efforts.
  • Be honest to yourself and do not get disappointed if you are taking a while more than you thought it would take.  That is okay to take sometime rather suffering for life time.
  • There is nothing wrong in appreciating yourself if you see even a minuscule improvement.
  •  Imagine how great it will be if you can come out of your shortcoming, it will hike your confidence.
  • If you can minimize the weakness to a great extent, that is fine.  Don't always bother about 100%.
  • Do not over re-act and engage in self-defeating to overcome your weakness.
I trust the above will help you to understand, accept and work on shortcomings.  It is all about trying, trying and only trying.  Things will fall in place once you attempt.  Once again, stop procrastination.  Just work on it!!

:: Good Day To You! ::
